Half-local electronica label imputor? (San Diego/Seattle) presents an evening of free music at the Juke Joint Cafe. Imputor? is all about IDM (intelligent dance music), so use those brains and mark it on your calendar.

Here's the lineup:

Randomnumber (ex-Hood, Rocketracer, Rock Action):

This UK act is out on Mogwai's label and its EP, "The Fact That I Did," was recently named "Dance Single of the Week" in NME Magazine. Wow.

Dntel (Plug Research, Phthalo, 555):

Dntel's third album, "Life Is Full of Possibilities," has received rave reviews across the board. Jimmy Tamborello -- the man behind the strange name -- mixes up scratchy indie rock and electronics, creating a unique sound that will not fail to impress.

The Snodgrass (Imputor?):

The San Diego half of imputor? is Jordan Snodgrass, a.k.a. The Snodgrass. You may have heard one of his tracks on Tristeza's remix album, "Mixed Signals." If not, you should buy the album and listen.

DJ Wank Chops:

This DJ has played alongside electronica giants Paul Oakenfold and Goldie. Now he's making his first SD appearance -- for free. Why? We're not sure, but we know you shouldn't miss it.
